Lassi
Lassis are a type of yogurt-based drink that’s popular all-around India. It comes in two varieties: sweet or salty. The salty version is more traditional. The yogurt is left unflavored, then spices like cumin and salt are added.
The sweet version often contains either fruit juice, cut up fresh fruit, or sometimes a sweeter flavor like saffron or rose water, with sugar added instead of salt. Just be careful of anything called a bhang lassi, which contains a liquid derivative of cannabis, and can be quite potent. Bhang lassis are popular around the festival of Holi.
