For many people, the ultimate adventure is one that’s a little bit dangerous and visiting Hiroshima definitely falls into that category. Technically, visitors are not allowed, but some intrepid explorers and photographers have waded through the pools of nuclear waste to explore the area around the blast radius, which has been left frozen in time as nature takes over.
It’s a good example of what would happen to the planet if humans were to suddenly go extinct – and that kind of existential terror is all too real for some.
