Tombet
The island of Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, which are located just off the coast of Spain, and has been considered part of Spain since 1936. Although their history is similar to the mainland, Majorca has its own type of cuisine that has been refined over the centuries and remains unique.
One of the most popular dishes on Majorca is tombet, a dish made of layered eggplant, red peppers, and potatoes covered in a spiced tomato sauce. It can be found in any restaurant on the island.
