10 Reasons Trump’s Energy Plan Poses Major Climate Threats
Sea levels would rise
According to climate change experts, rising global temperatures can irrefutably be linked to rising sea levels, which pose a threat to many coastal dwellings, communities and even entire cities. If nothing is done to curb emissions and stop the global temperature increase, it’s estimated that sea levels will rise 3-6 feet or higher rather than the 1-2.5 feet they would rise with the implementation of the Paris agreement.
Donald Trump doesn’t seem to be worried about the threat climate change poses to the United States or the rest of the world, but is apparently very concerned about the effects it will have on his golf courses. In an application requesting permission to construct a seawall at one of his properties, Trump International Golf Links Ireland cited rising sea levels caused by climate change as chief justification for erecting the structure.
