10. Terelj National Park, Mongolia
If you want to spend a few days experiencing life as a nomad, head to Terelj National Park in Mongolia. It’s a gigantic piece of protected land, about 50 miles outside the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Once you’re there, there are a ton of activities for you to do like horseback riding, hiking, and archery, which are offered by local organizations.
If you don’t want to head back to Ulaanbaatar, you can bunk down in a traditional Mongolian ger (yurt) for the night. If you spend the night in the park, make sure to hit up the Yestii Hot Water Springs for a soak.
