2. Ukraine
Since the end of winter in 2014, Ukraine has been a country in strife. It all began with the Ukrainian Revolution, which saw the ousting of pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych, and things have only spiraled since then.
As you might well know, Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula following the revolution, and pro-Ukranian and pro-Russian forces continue to do battle in the eastern and southern sections of the country.
