Vik Beach, Vik in Myrdalur, Iceland
If bright shades aren’t your thing, check out Vik Beach in Reynisfjara, which is famous for its black-sanded shores and other-worldly cliffs. Located on the southern coast of Iceland, this Middle-Earth like landmark features towering cliffs made of volcanic rock columns that overlook a black-pebbled beach. It also happens to be a great place to spot some adorable puffins. But birdwatchers beware as the waves at Vik Beach are notoriously strong so visitors should be cautious.
