Traveling With a Disability

Get the proper documentation
Depending on your condition, you may need to have documentation from your physician that states you’re able to travel in order to avoid any flight or travel delays. You should also look into medical care at your destination and bring documentation that covers all the details of your condition should you find yourself in an emergency situation during your trip. It’s also a good idea to have documents supporting any prescribed medicine you’ll be bringing with you. It’s not uncommon for medication to be confiscated at customs and depending on your destination, it could be difficult or impossible to replace those medications during your trip.
