Escape Your Life: Unique Jobs You Can Get Abroad
Conservacion Patagonia (Chile)
There aren’t many people who can say they were instrumental in creating a new national park. Conservacion Patagonia is currently accepting volunteers for a life-changing new program — they need all the help they can get to create a new national park in Chile. 650,000 acres of overgrazed meadow and wilderness were obtained by the Conservacion organization, and with the help of government agencies and generous donations, they have been tirelessly working to restore the biodiversity of the area and tear down old fences and land borders that were put up by the previous tenants.
The volunteer program operates in 3-week shifts, and is open to anyone around the world who wants to come and help out in the creation of a brand new national park. Since the park is vast, most of the time, volunteers end up camping near their work sites. The program is open from November to March, and is the perfect adventure for anyone who loves camping and wants to be able to help restore a gorgeous piece of land to its former glory.
