Top 11 U.S. Destinations to Hit the Slopes This Holiday
2. Breckenridge
Breckenridge is a great ski area for a family or group whose skills on the slopes vary widely. Located in Colorado, the area has quite a few beginner slopes, including one long run that’s beginner-friendly but still fun. They also offer magic carpets for young children who may not be able to handle skis yet. However, these easier options don’t mean that the entire area is for beginners as more than half of the resort is made up of black diamond slopes.
A six-day lift pass costs $609 per person, and there are plenty of great options for accommodation in the charming Victorian town of Breckenridge. Just be aware that Breckenridge is at a high altitude, and you may want to spend a day or two in the city to acclimatize before hitting the slopes.
