Museum of Military History – Vienna, Austria
The highly-decorated building which houses the Museum of Military History can be found in Vienna’s stately downtown area and used to be a huge component of Kaiser Franz Joseph I’s elaborate Arsenal, which he built in the mid-19th century.
Now, it houses a museum focused on Austria’s military history. The building has always been the property of the Austrian military. It was originally intended as an exhibition of Imperial armaments. As the oldest museum in Austria, their exhibitions cover everything from the 16th century until the modern era. Admission costs $7 per person.
