4. Wolfsegg Castle
Tucked away in a quaint Bavarian village, the 800-year-old Wolfsegg Castle in Germany was once a sanctuary for travelers but is now known for frightening them off. The castle is said to be haunted by a “White Woman” who many believe to be the Klara von Helfenstein, a former occupant who was killed by assassins hired by her jealous husband. Not long after her death, Klara’s husband and sons also mysteriously died, some say at the hands of the White Woman herself in an act of revenge.
