How to Travel With Your Pet

5. Cabin or Cargo Hold?
The first thing to remember is that each airline has its own set of rules. So if they don’t accept animals in the cargo hold, then the decision is already made and you’ll need to take your pet in the cabin with you.
If, however, your pet is traveling in the cargo hold, you’ll need to make sure the trip is not too stressful for the animal. It’s important to choose routes with fewer stopovers and ensure you’re traveling during spring and fall, when the temperatures are milder.
