Take Your Time
Stand as still as possible to avoid motion blur caused by shaky hands. If an image is worth recording, it’s worth an extra few seconds to get it right. Take a look at the picture before moving on, and if you’re in doubt, snap another one. Since it might be hard to tell if you’ve got a good shot on the screen, especially in bright conditions, consider a backup. Take one with the flash, and one without. While it is possible to “fix” your images afterward, it’s best to have a clear shot in the first place.
