7 Tips for Surviving a Summer Craft Beer Festival
| June 20, 2016
Pace yourself
A beer festival is a marathon, not a sprint. If you’re objective is to take as many beers to the face as quickly as possible, you won’t make it past the first hour without passing out. Instead, I recommend strategically planning your tastings. The beer festival should highlight which breweries are attending and what beers they’re bringing on the event’s website. If they don’t, it’s not worth attending.
Create a list of Must Sample Breweries, Nice to Sample Breweries, and Only if There’s Time Breweries. Then, follow that list until your palate is fatigued or you’re too drunk to care. Taking notes helps you to pace yourself as well.
