8. Separate Anxiety From Danger
Even though you can logically understand that flying isn’t very dangerous, sometimes it is still hard to tell the difference between imagined danger and real danger. Anxiety makes the thing that you are worried about feel like it is much more likely to occur than it really is.
If possible, try to remind yourself that the anxiety you feel doesn’t actually mean you are in danger. Anxiety tricks your brain into thinking you’re in danger, even when you’re perfectly safe. If you can label your fear as anxiety and not take it as seriously, you will be able to see it for what it is.
